We traveled to many places, but we always knew that our home is being together.
We first met during our internship, but neither of us remembered the other! We only realized years later, during the pandemic, when the interns’ WhatsApp group suddenly came back to life.
The moment we reconnected, it honestly felt like: where have you been all this time? From then and on, we started noticing how many times life had quietly crossed our paths without us ever realizing it. Romina had unknowingly lived next door to Milenko’s brother-in-law for years, and Milenko once lived just a few blocks away from Romina’s parents in Antofagasta. At one point, Romina almost moved into the building right across from Milenko… and there are plenty more stories like that!
All those little coincidences make us feel like life had been trying to bring us together all along. We just needed to pay closer attention… something neither of us is particularly good at!
